Both highly sensitive children and adults are like the canaries in the coal mine - rightly sensitive to what is ‘wrong’ in their environment. Their sensitivity is not a weakness but a strength. But often chemical medicines can be too harsh and energetic medicines like homeopathy better suited to assisting highly sensitive people and children. Homeopathic remedies can be a great way to control anxiety, balance the nervous system and deal with emotional overwhelm, sleep issues, sensory processing issues and exhaustion etc. All humans are sensitive, whether it is physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. However, some people have heightened sensitivity, and these people are called highly sensitive persons or children. About 20% of the population is highly sensitive. They are more sensitive to their environment for example harsh light, noise levels or strong smells and to others’ emotions. They tend to feel things deeper than other people, and can easily get overwhelmed and often need more time alone to decompress and can often become introverted as a coping strategy. About your host: As a highly sensitive person who discovered homeopathy when she was 18 years old, Nicole completed a Master''s degree in Homeopathy and has been in clinical practice for 25 years helping individuals and families find lasting and sustainable solutions using the gentle art and science of homeopathy.
